Keep Your Ice Shining: A Simple Care Routine

Stones only sparkle when light can pass through them. A thin film of skin oil or product is enough to make an iced piece look flat, and the fix takes minutes.
Weekly clean
Soak the piece in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for ten minutes. Brush gently around the settings with a soft toothbrush, rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
What to avoid
Take jewelry off before the pool, the gym or applying cologne and lotion. Chlorine and harsh cleaners can wear down finishes, and heavy workouts put stress on clasps and prongs.
Store it right
Keep each piece in its own pouch or compartment so harder stones do not scratch the metal of other pieces. Lay chains flat or hang them so they do not knot.
Book a check-up
Once or twice a year, have the prongs and clasp looked at. Catching a loose stone early is far easier than replacing a lost one.
